The NEHRP MSNEA grant program makes funds available to nonprofit organizations and institutions of higher education that possess the critical skills necessary to develop and implement regional (multistate) and/or national earthquake risk mitigation activities (i.e. development and delivery of professional development opportunities; update local building codes, zoning codes, and ordinances; support seismic mitigation planning; participate in emergency management exercises; promote earthquake insurance; increase earthquake awareness and education; prepare inventories and conduct seismic safety vulnerability inspections and safety evaluations of buildings, critical structures, and lifeline infrastructure; etc.
Only one application per eligible applicant may be submitted as determined by the applicant Universal Entity Identifier (UEI) number.
Submission Process
Limited submissions MUST be coordinated with the Office of the Vice President for Research.
