Let us do the driving for you. The COMET is now operating campus transit under a contract
with the university. There are 10 daytime routes and two evening routes to make your
life easy, and it's all free with your Carolina Card! We have 30 locations across
the Columbia campus.
NOTE: COMET daytime and evening routes are currently running on a reduced summer schedule. The North Loop (Route 13), Express (Route 14), and West Campus (Route 20) will operate
Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Regular fall service resumes on August 19, 2025.
You can catch a bus on each route nearly every 10-30 minutes depending on the route.
For exact times of routes, take advantage of the real time tracking which is available
by text. Send a text message to 41411 containing “USCVMPS” and the bus stop ID number
on the sign to get real time information sent to your phone! Example: uscvmps 1840

Lunchtime Express
NOTE: No service during the summer. Service resumes on August 19, 2025.
The Lunchtime Express route runs between the Russell House and Campus Village on weekdays
from 11 am to 2 pm during the fall and spring semesters. The Russell House stop is
located at the turnaround in front of the Thomas Cooper fountain. The Campus Village
stop is on Whaley Street at the bus pullout in front of CV Building 2. A valid USC ID is required to board the bus.

Rides On Demand

We'll pick you up! Rides on-demand are available at the times listed below during the fall and spring
semesters. Download the Translōc app to request a ride.
The Rides On Demand program is a shuttle service designed to meet our customers at
the nearest designated On Demand area to their location, outside of our regular bus
service schedule's timetable and/or physical routes. Please always ensure to doublecheck
your designated pick-up meeting location and time so as not to miss your ride.
Read more about the app and how to use it. Hours of Operation: Rides On Demand are available during the fall and spring semesters. No service during
the summer.
Gateway Shuttles
The shuttles to Midlands Tech Airport and Beltline campus will run from 7:15 a.m.-6
p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:15 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Friday during the fall and
spring semesters. Pick up will be on Bull Street next to Bates House.
