Mentoring program overview
STRIVE Mentoring offers new and experienced research administrators a unique opportunity for professional development, cultivating a supportive network for mentees and harnessing the collective expertise of mentors.
Program length: 12 months
What to expect:
Participants in STRIVE Mentoring will attend a mentor training session or mentee orientation session at the start of the program. The inaugural cohort will begin in July.
Each month, mentor and mentee will be responsible for arranging a time to meet to work toward identified professional development goal(s). There will be a mid-program check-in meeting, as well a program wrap-up meeting upon successful completion of STRIVE Mentoring.
STRIVE Mentoring is not intended to replace department-specific training, formal training or onboarding activities within the hiring unit; it is designed to provide individual development opportunities.
