Course attributes: To be announced
This course offers students the opportunity to study traditional Japanese art and architecture and contrast it to the cutting edge advancements displayed at international exhibitions.

Throughout the course, you'll take advantage of immersive experiences gained through Japanese cuisine, peer exchanges with students at Kyoto City University of Arts, and a class on Buddhist meditation at a Zen temple. This course consists of lectures and readings in advance of the trip, as well as site visits in the ancient capital of Kyoto, the modern city of Osaka, and the historical centers of Nara and Uji.
