Background
Georgia Petritsis has been a valued member of the college since 2012, bringing a wealth of experience in project management, operations and event planning. With a background at the New York Philharmonic and the New York Botanical Garden, she excels at executing complex projects, optimizing workflows and enhancing processes. She is known for her strong business acumen, communication skills and ability to manage resources efficiently while anticipating challenges.
In her current role as program manager, Petritsis oversees the day-to-day operations of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at USC. She manages financial planning, budgeting and resource allocation, and coordinates travel for faculty, staff and students. Her work extends to HR processing and course scheduling, ensuring that the program runs smoothly and meets the needs of both students and faculty. She coordinates and manages special projects, events and meetings so they run smoothly and meet strategic goals.
Petritsis is committed to cultivating an environment of collaboration and efficiency. She has been recognized for her leadership, serving as a Senator on the USC Staff Senate (2021-2024) and Co-Chair/Founding Member of the College of HRSM Staff Council. She also had the honor of being the first recipient of the College of HRSM Staff Member of the Year Award.
Outside of work, Georgia enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dog, traveling, and exploring history and cultures. Her dedication to both her professional and personal life reflects her commitment to fostering connections and continuous learning.
